Hi. I'm Max.
Yes, that's me in the sand. My mother put me there and I let her. More on that later...
Six years ago, my mom went to the farmer's market for strawberries and ended up with strawberries.... and me. I was named Freddy at the time. My adoption time was up at a high kill shelter until a rescue organization picked me up on my last day and put me in a wire pen with four other dogs needing a home.
It was that moment in June of 2009 that I started a new life as Max. A few weeks later, I was on the road.
My favorite things are running in the sand and being off leash. I dislike Bisons and driving off road. I am afraid of Horses, but I like to chase squirrels. I get to go to so many places in America. I love running on the beach on the Oregon Coast and in Cape Cod. I love to see and smell new things each day. I am a lucky dog.
Yeah, so about me in the sand. As you might know, my mom likes to take photos of me. I mean... A LOT of photos. I know when the camera is out and when it's time to pose. I cooperate most of the time since I know I will get a treat. But, if I'm not in the mood, I will pretend not to hear her direction and look around for something else to do. Below is how I really like to enjoy the beach...
Being on the road for so long changes you. It's hard to believe that dog below on the left was me when I was first adopted, and to now...on the right. (The Dude)
Did I mention that I dislike baths?
Thank you for wanting to get to know me more. If you want to see more photos, I am pretty sure my mom put up a recent one on Instagram.
Thank you for following along on our journey.
